## Codex 0.159.1 updates its default model catalogs

Codex 0.159.1 adds GPT-6.1 Sol as the default model in its bundled catalog and in the Amazon Bedrock Mantle and Runtime catalogs. This is a concrete agent-client catalog change following the earlier SDK identifier additions. Existing configuration and provider access determine the model a particular session can use.

## Ollama tests more web searches and explicit model capabilities

Ollama 0.35.1-rc0 allows ten web searches per response and adds support for explicit model capabilities when creating a model. The release also updates its MLX and llama.cpp dependencies. This is a release candidate, so the new behavior should be treated as preview functionality when evaluating local-model applications.
